State Farm has launched a Distracted Driving Awareness Campaign ~ A few seconds can change everything!

Distracted driving is preventable - and it increases crash risk fast. Safety research indicates that taking your eyes 👁️ off the road for just 2 seconds can double your crash risk. Texting takes about 4.6 seconds on average; at 55 mph, that’s roughly the length of a football field traveled with eyes off the road. Research also associates texting while driving with a 23× higher likelihood of a safety‐critical event.

How can you reduce distraction?

· Enable Do Not Disturb while driving

· Set navigation and music before you drive

· Pull over safely if you must read or respond
